Over the last five years I have developed a greater appreciation for the creative opportunity in the simple (or so I thought) act of gardening. For those of you not about to marry a landscape architect here is a little taste of my latest inspiration. The Japanese Garden in Portland Oregon. These gardens are designed down to the smallest detail and I find myself finding great insight into my own design craft each time I immerse myself in one. While this sort of landscape requires a level of skill and patience I can not claim I am really enjoying the process of finding these influences as Cindy and I design our own garden.
