Cindy’s city bike arrived yesterday (a Velorbis Victoria Classic of Danish design, built in Germany and shipped through Boston via The Dutch Bicycle Company) just in time to ride over and vote in Saint Paul on a spectacular fall morning. Then a stylish and casual ride to work. What a way for a designer to travel! For more cycle style inspiration check out Copenhagencyclechic.com

wow. if i didn’t have my vintage ride, i’d be all over the victoria classic. have fun, cindy!

Velorbis is a Danish bicycle brand not Dutch, but the Danes and the Dutch are very similar so people often mistake one for the other. I loooove the bike BTW…

Thanks for the clarification Rex. I’ve corrected the post. You’re right though, it is confusing. The Dutch make great chocolate (which I love) but I also dearly love danish (small d) which has nothing to do with the Danes as far as I know but does challenge my feeble decision making abilities.

The best chocolate is produced in Russia and one of the best bikes are produced in Denmark & Holland.
The lady and the bike are absolutely beautiful! It`s so elegant and stylish. The Danish Velorbis suits her perfectly well.
Thank You very much for sharing.

Wow! Congratulations! You beat me to it. I’ve been turning my thoughts toward the Velorbis lately and here there is one in my own town. I’d love to hear more feedback on it. Nice to have found you through CCC! Tis a beautiful ride.

Hi Todd- Thanks for the post! I know that Cindy will have a long and enjoyable relationship with her new bicycle. BTW, Velorbis is Danish company with the factory in Germany, the design is Danish- similar to the Dutch, but different geometry- the Danish bikes tend to address the distance from the the seat to handle bars, not just seat height, this way the rider does not feel cramped. This is very evident from the picture.
It was a real pleasure dealing with you both, stay in touch.

Great ride! Perhaps you’ll see my commuting to work in Minneapolis on my Azor Opa. I prefer the Dutch bikes, but certainly wouldn’t scoff at a Danish ride :) Cheers!
