iPhone iNspiration

I finally broke down and got an iPhone, and well… it’s pretty damn sweet. So, I spent an afternoon with some designs I’ve been working on and converted them into iPhone wallpapers. Eventually the designs will be sold as note cards but you can get them here for free because you are such loyal and talented redblackbrown readers.

The idea behind the designs by the way is that they represent interpersonal relationships as abstract graphics that interact with each other and that human interaction I envision in my imagination helps drive the design. The other goal was to have them be strongly asymmetrical but still balanced through the use of color, size and arrangement. Hence the name for the series: Balanced Asymmetry. I won’t share anything about the relationships as I see them but leave that to your own imagination since they are meant to be open to interpretation. Or not. There are seven so far and you can also just download them to enjoy as surface design and leave it at that.
